Happy new year ! 2025

Happy New Year 2025!

This is my third New Year in Madagascar. The climate is completely opposite, so I have no choice but to create the New Year's atmosphere myself, so I made some Japanese sweets to create a little bit of New Year's atmosphere.

I hope that this year will be a happy and peaceful year for everyone.

I spent the New Year in a seaside town called Ifaty in the south.

It was a peaceful village where simple fishermen live. Ifaty is a small village about 30km north of the city of Tulear.

The capital, Antananarivo, is at a high altitude and is comfortable with no humidity, but the humidity in the south is more than enough. . . It is a very hot place with the tropical atmosphere of Japan combined with the African sun. However, I felt that Japanese peoples feel happier in a place with moderate humidity.

What I've been thinking about lately, about colors... The reason why Africans prefer strong colors is because the sun is strong and the colors of natural trees are very bright. The creatures are also vibrant with vibrant reds and blues. That’s why?

Although the people of Madagascar are of a different race to those of the African continent, they are half mixed race with Africans, and primary colors are abundant in their daily lives.

Living in a place like this, one is probably born with a preference for primary colors... Every day I experience the origins of art and artworks born from various races.

I feel that the sense of color of the people of each land is deeply connected to the light of the sun.

I am naturally gloomy, so I prefer dark colors, but I was exposed to the beauty of primary colors in Madagascar, a small island next to the African continent, and was inspired by it.

I hope you will support nona.bijoux as it continues to evolve......!!!
